Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) is considered to be a disease of developing nations, yet the condition persists in Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities at some of the highest rates in the world.

The End Rheumatic Heart Disease Centre of Research Excellence (END RHD CRE) is producing an Endgame strategy to end RHD as a public health priority and ‘close the gap’ between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians.
